8 Greatest Tournament Movies Ever Made

8. The Quest

The Quest deals with a down on his luck vagrant played by Jean-Claude Van Damme who spends a disturbing amount of time with children. Eventually he finds his way to a global tournament, where countries send their representatives to win a massive golden statue of a dragon. In the end, Van Damme beats a murderous Mongolian to win the tournament, but has to trade the statue because his sack of shit friends tried to steal it.

Here’s a compilation of some of the action you can see in The Quest

7. A Knight's Tale

Heath Ledger plays William Thatcher, a peasant turned knight. Because of his simple background, Thatcher enters a jousting tournament under a false name in order to compete. In the end, our loveable hero conquers all opponents and gets the girl.

This isn’t a clip from the movie, but it give you an idea of the awesomeness of jousting.
